SHOOTING SCENE IN IBADAN


The Oyo State Police Command on Tuesday paraded two armed robbery suspects who were caught after one of them accidentally shot himself in the lap.
Idowu Peters, who is from Edo State, Segun Babalola and another man who is at large, had robbed a house on Rafiu Adetola Street, Aromolaran in the Agugu area of Ibadan on November 8.
They succeeded in stealing a laptop, mobile telephones and jewellery from their victims at gun point.

PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN UNDERGOING TREATMENT IN LONDON


The president’s spokesperson confirmed the illness.
President Goodluck Jonathan fell ill while in London on an official visit and had to seek medical attention, his spokesperson, Reuben Abati, has said.
Mr. Jonathan is in London for a meeting of Nigeria’s Honorary International Investors’ Council.
Mr. Abati said the president became indisposed and could not be present at the opening of the meeting on Thursday.
He said the President has since been examined by competent medical practitioners and “he has been advised to rest for a few days”.
Mr. Abati did not state the ailment the president was diagnosed of or the hospital he visited.
“The Presidency wishes to assure all Nigerians that President Jonathan’s condition is nothing serious and that the medical attention he has sought is only precautionary,” the spokesperson said.

Teacher Beats 4-yr-old Pupil To Death For Being Stubborn in Ondo State


DETECTIVES in OndoState have detained a primary school teacher, Alade Adebayo, for allegedly flogging to death a four-year-old female pupil Elizabeth Wanogha.

The deceased pupil was a student of a private primary school, Falaye Memorial Nursery and Primary School, located at Fanibi area in Akure metropolis.

The teacher, according to report, accused the deceased of being stubborn in the class. He was said to have beaten the girl to a state of coma.

Cries from other pupils in the class reportedly attracted other teachers who rushed to the scene where
they found that the girl had fainted.

Karen Igho Becomes A British Citizen


Karen Igho, ex-Big Brother Africa winner has dumped hre Nigerian passport for British citizenship.
The controversial reality show star announced this via her Twitter handle @karenigho this morning and invited all her friends for a drink in her home.
“I just became a citizen of the UK…I’m so happy…Drinks for everyone,” she tweeted in the early
hours of today alongside a provoking bikini photo.
